Clement A. Leslie was born in Trinidad, grew up in Barbados and immigrated to the United States in 1975 to pursue his love of music. He is an accomplished singer, drummer and trombone player. He is a first generation graduate from college having worked and put himself through undergraduate school. He then enrolled in The Salvation Army’s College for Officer Training and received his diploma and ordination to become an Officer and Minister of Religion. While working with The Salvation Army in Nashville, Tennessee, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Trevecca Nazarene University.
He later would attend the University of Richmond School of Law, Virginia where he obtained his Juris Doctor, and became a US citizen. He continued his ministry with The Salvation Army for 28 years, retiring with the rank of Major.
He is a member of Rotary International and obtained the Paul Harris Fellow designation. He serves on the Board of Directors for Administer Justice, a national organization dedicated to providing access to justice for the less fortunate. He also is a Phi Alpha Delta fraternity member.
Admitted to practice in the State of Arizona, Federal District Court of Arizona, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
